The Element Road Series is back for series 2018 and will kick off at the Tom Lowry Memorial this weekend.

The Tom Lowry Memorial weekend is a two-day event and will comprise of a criterium on Saturday, 5 May and a road race on Sunday, 6 May.

Both races will see points go towards the Element Road Series Road Rider of the Year award and is a great opportunity to kick off the series.

It will also see the start of a new point scoring system which is similar to the Ring Summer Criterium Series. Find out more HERE

Some similar names to last season will feature on the start list for this weekend of racing.

Young superstar Emily Mascaro is back in women’s A grade for the road race and will face challenges from Natalie Britz and Rebecca Mackey and last year’s overall series winner Kylie Anticich.

For the men, this will be current state road racing champion Stephen Hall’s last race before he heads over to Europe and the United States. Find out more about where he is headed HERE

Bryce Lanigan and Craig Wiggins are back and will be going up against under 19 Australian Champion Tyler Lindorff as well as the likes of Reece Tucknott and Jackson Mawby.

The junior grades have a strong representation with the three Wiggins sisters to be a part of the weekend along with Jay Lindorff, Hannah Waters, Joshua and Isabella Commons as well as others.

After Col Tierney’s win in C grade last season, he has stepped up and will take on B grade this season.

Aron Barclay will also be on the start line with the A grade men after his comprehensive win in B grade last year.
